S4E11: What is Run of Show – Live Stream Planning

So are your livestreams or recorded videos a disorganized mess? This episode we talk about how to organize your “run of show”, your show flow, your script for your show with my guest, Dr. Elo, yes, that Dr. Elo.

We will also talk about scripts, worksheets, and teleprompters. I don’t use a teleprompter but you might or you might want to. You can use these for your show. Even if you are doing a recorded show, it helps your efficiency so your shows can be exactly the length they need to be and no longer. If you want to get your show organized, then this is the episode for you. Plus, who doesn’t want to talk to Dr. Elo. We will also talk about sources for Royalty Free Music for your livestreams and recorded videos or even your podcast. There are places that are completely free that you may not be aware of.

S4E10: YouTube Is HARD

#TechTroublemaker

After paying for so many YouTube courses that claim to tell you how to make YouTube so easy and watching so many content creation videos from other content creators, I have learned it isn’t easy. There are things that you can do to make it easier but it never becomes “easy”. In this episode we talk about why YouTube is hard and why it should be hard. Then we talk about lessons I have learned from all of these sources to help you make your YouTube journey easier.

“Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does.” —William James

The moral of the story is don’t give up. Keep trying. Find your voice, learn the skills, hit that record or go live button on your webcam, cell phone, crazy expensive mirrorless camera with your Wal-Mart Ring light or the super crazy expensive light some YouTuber did a review about and you are spending grocery money or rent money to buy it because magically this has to be the magic that will make your video go viral or you are like me and you want to make evergreen content that folks will be watching long after you are dead. Insert inspiration quotes here.

“Everything that’s broken was beautiful at one time. And our mistakes make us better people.” —Jamie Hoang

BTW, I am not giving up. I will celebrate my One Year of Lives April 13 and I intend to be here next year and the year after and you might as well hit that darn subscribe button because I am going to keep trying until I make the video you want to watch. Oh and hit that like button too, it makes YouTube think you love me as much as I love you guys.

“Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” —Theodore Roosevelt
