On Episode 10 of the One-Off Technology Podcast…

The Making of the Podcast… Podcast aka Look Ma, I’m on a Podcast.

In this episode we talk about how we lovingly bake each podcast in our EZ Bake oven.

Each episode is created by reaching a Skype call using Call Recorder for Skype and with the Blue Yeti Microphone.

Garageband

Then it is GarageBand‘ed together with our theme song and the intro, the outro, and our closing theme music. Then it is imported into Audacity where it is converted from Stereo to Mono.

Blue Yeti Microphone

Then it is uploaded to Amazon S3 cloud storage and the link is posted on the blog faithandtech.com using the WordPress plugin Bluburry PowerPress. Once it is published this updates our RSS feed. Eventually Apple iTunes and Google Play and Stitcher will figure out there is an update and will update the listings so you can see our podcast and listen to the latest or the oldest or whatever.

Episode 5: I’ll take Another Bigger slice of Raspberry Pi (Part 2)

Editor’s Note: This episode is a fully realized episode about the Raspberry Pi, essentially 98.5% Raspberry Pi, I promise.

Episode 5 Part 2

“I’ll have another Bigger slice of Raspberry Pi”

In this Episode: Our guests, Julie Butler and Carlos Unda talk about a great Raspberry Pi project they did as a POC “Proof of Concept” to solve a problem a company had used much more expensive hardware and software to aolcw. Carlos and Julie (both students at Erskine College) talk about their amazing project to find out if a marble was “transparent” or opaque, basically would the marble pass light or not.

Lessons Learned: Windows IoT (Internet of Things) isn’t ready for prime time. A four node Raspberry Pi cluster is faster computationally than an $800+ Windows PC.

Here is a Raspberry Pi Starter Kick that uses Raspberry Pi 3. It comes with power supply, microSD card with Noobs, and a Clear case.
